The focus of this site is news about authors and book events in Florida generally and Southwest Florida in particular, with a specific focus on the Naples area. Readers will find book reviews, author and publisher profiles, and information about literary trends and events. I hope that it can be used to help our regional literary community flourish.
You will also find “personal essays” of various kinds: memoirs and other kinds of nonfiction explorations that have nothing to do with books and authors or poetry. These “musings” will be categorized as such. Responses to the musings are invited as well.
And, of course, from time to time I’ll succumb to the temptation of posting a poem.
Entries without acknowledgment of previous publication are available for publication in other internet publications and in print, once appropriate arrangements and permissions have been established. And for several pieces that have been previously published, rights have reverted to Philip K. Jason and those pieces also can be republished with permission.
